D-Day
June 6, 1944 was a day of immense courage and sacrifice. 72 years ago, the Allied forces launched the largest military invasion in history, Operation Overlord. Over 150,000 brave young men stormed the beaches of Normandy, as the Allied forces began to turn the tides of the war. Despite massive casualties, the offensive was successful. By August of 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and less than a year later, the Allies were victorious in Europe.
We are eternally grateful for the bravery of the men and women who sacrifice everything to protect our country. Eppy’s is a proud supporter of the military and our veterans.
